Thank you KRP team
A huge thank-you to our concierge and cleaning team for the surprise gift they gave us all last week. Collectively they arranged for two new trees, like the one pictured, to be planted in Central Park.
The concierges, Gregory, Michael, Rony and Alassane, together with cleaners Gifty and Yomi, wanted to thank the Board and residents for supporting them during the first lock-down. You will find the young trees, which will flower in the Spring, on the left-hand side of Central Park. One is in the deep bed at the rear of the lawn on the left-hand side, and the other is on the mound, also to the left as you look into Central Park.
The trees are often known as either the Japanese Snowball or the Wedding Cake tree, because of the beautiful white flowers on their horizontal branches which make them appear touched by snow or resembling the tiers of a traditional white wedding cake. For lovers of Latin plant designations, their full name is Viburnum plicatum 'Mariesii' and you may be able to spot a few others of this species in the garden borders at either end of the garden grounds.
Thank you so much Michael, Gregory, Alassane, Rony, Yomi & Gifty.
